Winnipeg has a lively itinerary of events, many of which take place every year. Summertime is the busiest season, but there are events that are organised in winter too.

• Canada Day. This is celebrated by the whole nation on 1st July each year. In Winnipeg, people take to the streets and parks where live bands perform and firework displays are organised. There is a party atmosphere all day with plenty of different food and drink options.

• Manyfest. This takes place in Downtown at the beginning of September. The festival attracts roughly 60,000 people who visit the beer gardens and street food stalls. There are kids' zones as well, and in the evening the area is lit up.

• Christmas-light display. Each December, a Christmas-light display is erected by Canad Inns in Exhibition Park. You can drive through in your car or you can hop on a horse-driven carriage. A lovely way to get you in the Christmas spirit.
