Vancouver is a seaport city in British Columbia, and the third largest city in Canada. Located roughly 50km north of the US border, it is a relatively young city compared to others. Vancouver has a colourful history and its population is made up of many nationalities with different customs and cultures, meaning various events take place across the city rich in diversity.
Toronto is a bustling metropolis with skyscrapers at its heart, as well as plenty of urban green spaces including the Queen's Park and 400-acre High Park, with a zoo and walking trails. Being a tourist is easy here, with plenty of great things to see and do. Torontonians are known for their friendly, easy-going nature, meaning it's easy to meet and make new friends here.
Although Montreal is clearly in Canada, it has a very European feel. Hear locals switching between French and English...often mid-sentence! The second largest city in Canada has a lot to offer from modern skyscrapers to historic cathedrals, from an urban feel to a wildness just beyond the St Lawrence River, and from a cosmopolitan vibe to corners of parochialism.
