Moonraker (1979), Iguazu Waterfalls
These impressive waterfalls in Argentina are the setting for the film "Moonraker". In the film, James Bond floats over the falls like a paraglider and this is beautifully portrayed from the air. The falls are located in the middle of the tropical rainforest on the border between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
For Your Eyes Only (1981), Holy Trinity Monastery
This ancient monastery built on a high rock in Greece is the setting in the film "For Your Eyes Only". During a spectacular action scene, James Bond climbs the rock to reach the enemy. In real life, the monastery is also difficult to reach and to get there you have to climb a 140-step staircase, but the panoramic view that awaits you are breathtaking.
Skyfall (2012), Glencoe
This is where James Bond's childhood home is located in the film "Skyfall". The vast landscape is one of the most iconic battles in the film series. Glencoe is located in the Scottish Highlands and with its many waterfalls and panoramic views it is an area where you can take fantastic hikes.
You Only Live Twice (1967), Himeji Castle
The Himeji Castle in Japan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is visited by many tourists every year. In the film, "You Only Live Twice", this impressive castle serves as a ninja training camp where 007 meets his Japanese colleague. The castle is located on a hill, which offers a beautiful view of nearby Kobe.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), Schilthorn
This breathtaking location in the Swiss Alps is central to the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". As usual, James Bond is once again chased by criminals, which makes for great ski scenes in the Alps in this film. The summit of the Schilthorn is located at an altitude of 2970 meters and offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Swiss peaks.
The Man With The Golden Gun (1974), Phang Nga Bay
The Phang Nga Bay in Thailand is wonderful and that has not escaped the notice of the filmmakers of James Bond. This bay is the setting for the film "The Man With The Golden Gun". In the film, a duel is fought on the island of Koh Tapu. Because this island was used as a filming location, it is now also known as the James Bond island.
