Check-in

Check-in with Cathay Pacific is easy and fast. There are different ways in which you can choose to Check-in. You can for instance make use of the Cathay Pacific Check-in counters, or by using the selfservice kiosk on the airport. You can also Check-in online by using your computer or mobile phone. Checking-in online is possible from 48 hours until 90 minutes before departure.

Cabin baggage

You are allowed to bring one piece of cabin baggage on board of a Vietnam Airlines flight with a maximum weight of 7kg if you fly Economy class. In Business class, you are allowed two pieces of cabin baggage with a weight of 7kg per piece.

Checked baggage

You are allowed one piece of checked baggage onboard of a Vietnam Airlines flight with a maximum weight of 40kg if you are flying Economy class, and a maximum weight of 60kg if you are flying Business class.

In-flight service

The in-flight service is different for every travel class. On longer flights, you can expect an entertainment system, on which you can play movies and listen to music for instance. The Premium Economy and Business classes offer more in-flight service than the Economy class does.

The airline operates three travel classes - Business, Premium Economy and Economy. The business class cabins offer all the luxurious amenities. On long-haul international flights served by Boeing 777-200ERs, seats in all cabin classes are equipped with audio video on demand (AVOD) in-flight entertainment via personal televisions. SATCOM, the airline’s satellite communication system allows the passengers to make phone calls onboard via in-seat telephone service. Vietnam Airlines offers two in-flight magazines, “Heritage” and “Heritage Fashion” both in domestic and international flights for light and entertaining reading.
