Arkia Israeli Airlines flights
Arkia Israeli Airlines is Israel's second largest airline and was originally founded in 1949 under the name Eilata Airlines in order to promote tourism from central and northern Israel to the developing Red Sea resort city of Eilat. The carrier now flies from both Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion (TLV) and Sde Dov Airport (SDV) to Eilat, with some scheduled service to Haifa as well. Since Arkia Israeli Airlines operates many charter flights its scheduled international service varies by season, but recent destinations have included Amman, Tbilsi, Almaty, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris and Stockholm. The airline is currently in talks with Boeing about the possibility of purchasing up to 4 long-range 787 Dreamliner aircraft with plans to expand its network to include the USA and Asia.
